Trevose Golf & Country Club

The Club

Trevose is located on the North Cornish Coastline, one of the most spectacular locations in the UK.

From the bar and restaurant’s panoramic windows the view stretches out towards Trevose Head and the Atlantic Ocean; over sand dunes, streams and the tamarisk dotted fairways to Booby’s Bay, Mackeral Cove and far out at sea the Quies Rocks.

This is the real Cornwall where little has changed for decades. Seabirds cry, wild flowers bloom in the hedgerows, sandcastles crumble under the incoming tide and there’s always another rock pool to explore. Trevose offers us all the chance to recapture those days and remember what it felt like to be the first one to see the sea when arriving at the coast after a long journey.

Golf

Opened in 1925 the Championship Course has played host to The Brabazon Trophy (2008), The McGregor Trophy (2012), the English Men’s County Finals (2017), and the inaugural Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship (2019) in recent years. Ranked as one of the top links courses in the British Isles it offers a unique golfing experience, 12 months of the year.

Along with the likes of Augusta National, Pine Valley, Sunningdale, Royal Portrush and Muirfield Trevose is in good company within the ‘Colt’ family of courses.

Opened in 1993, by Peter Alliss, the Headland Course is less busy than the Championship Course, but with comparable course conditions it will ensure golfers of all abilities enjoy the test.

All formats of play are accepted on this course at all times and we welcome courteous golfers. It is not necessary to reserve a tee time but all golfers should report to reception to pay their green fee before going out to play.

However for those keen to experience golf on a more accessible course, the Short Course is where many members and visitors started their golfing careers and continue to call upon its services to iron out any gremlins that may have crept in to their game!

So if you’re looking for a place to re-launch your golf career, or you’re just looking to give-golf-a-go then look no further than this little gem.

Like its two big brothers (The Championship and Headland Courses) it is always in excellent condition, with greens prepared to a consistently high standard.

“One word – GREAT! You must visit Trevose”
